Zimbralinho
The geological formation of Porto Santo is a mixture of contrasts and singular beauty.
On the west side of the island you can glimpse another Porto Santo that takes you back to the time of its formation.
In the area around Zimbralinho beach we can see living testimony to volcanism. Aspects of the pre-emergence phase of the island are clearly visible, with pillow lavas representing underwater eruptions.
On the way down the footpath, the presence of a magmatic lode in the cliffs is equally noticeable.
